1. Can I apply via both school and individual channels?

Yes. However, contestants may only apply for the same category once whether they apply online or via their school. 


我可以經學校或以個人身份報名嗎?

可以。學生無論經學校或以個人身份報名,每組別及項目只可報名一次。



2. When will I hear back from the organiser after registration? 

Once we receive payment from you or your school, we will send the confirmation and contest details to your registered email address 3 weeks prior to the assigned contest day. All correspondence will be through your registered email. 


我可以報名幾個類別?

參賽者可根據自己的組別報名不同項目。而每個參賽者最多可報名三個不同類別。



3. How many categories can I sign up for? 

Maximum 3 categories for each contestant.


如何得知我已成功登記比賽?

一旦我們收到從您或您的學校登記款項,我們將在指定比賽日前3週到發送確認郵件和比賽資訊到您登記電郵地址。 

所有通訊將透過您所登記電子郵件發送。



4. Can I choose my contest day? 

No. Due to popular demand, the contest day will be assigned by the organiser. Contestants will be notified 3 weeks before. 


我可以選擇比賽日嗎?

不可以。由於比賽參加者眾多,參賽者的比賽安排將由本機構分配。比賽前三星期本機構會個別以電郵形式通知參賽者。



5. How many champions and runners-up are there? 

There will be one champion, first runner-up and second runner-up in each category on each contest day. 


比賽的獎項如何設定?

每日比賽之各個組別均設冠、亞、季軍及優異獎,每位得獎者可獲獎盃及得獎證書。



6. Can I make any changes to the set pieces? 

No. Any changes to the set piece may cause contestants penalty marks or disqualification. 


我可以更改誦材之內容嗎?

不可以。如學生更改誦材之內容可能會被扣分或取消比賽資格。



7. Do I need to submit my own choice piece or original work in advance? 

No. For contestants who will be using their own choice piece or original work for their performances, please submit a hardcopy of the chosen piece during registration on your assigned contest day. Own choice pieces must not be used for more than one category.


我需要提前提交自己的誦材或演說題目嗎?

不需要。對於將使用自選誦材或演說題目的參賽者,請於比賽當日將誦材或演說題目呈交給登記處職員。學生請提交誦材或演說題目之印刷本,比賽後將不獲發還。



8. Can I use any props during my performance?

Yes. Contestants can use handheld size visual aids, but they need to arrange for it by themselves. However, no power-point presentation is allowed.


比賽期間我可以使用任何道具嗎?

可以。參賽者可以自行準備及使用小型道具,但不應使用Powerpoint匯報、大型或固定佈景或電子投影設備。



9. Will I get any feedback about my performance?

Yes, you will receive a mark and comment sheet after the contest. 


比賽結束後參賽者可獲任何評語嗎?

比賽結束後參賽者將收到一份附有評判意見之評分紙。



10. What is the arrangement in case of postponement?

In case of unfavorable circumstances, the contest will be postponed to May 2021. Exact date and venue will be communicated through your registered email address and announced on the event website.


比賽會在什麼情況下延期,會安排如何?

如比賽前出現不明朗因素 (當中包括,但不限於疫情及其他社會環境因素),主辦單位將會把比賽推遲至2021年5月舉行。有關信息將發佈在活動網站上。參賽者亦會個別收到電子郵件通知。



11. Can I refund if I cannot attend the contest on the postponed date?

A. Entry fees will not be refunded for reasons such as the Hong Kong SAR government’s announcement of suspension of classes, changes to the rules of the contest. illness etc, nor can they be transferred to cover other entrants or for entry to another competition. However, if the contestant is unable to participate in the contest due to the event postponement, you may send us the refund request in written format with a proof of absence. 


假若我未能出席延期後的比賽,屆時可申請退款嗎?

所有費用一經繳付,不論任何原因(包括香港特別行政區政府宣佈停課、違反比賽章程、出賽與否、染病等),一律不獲退還,亦不得轉讓他人或轉作另一項比賽之費用。但假若主辦單位延期舉行比賽而參賽者未能參予,參賽者可書面提供缺席證明及申請退款。
